Christian Boult (born 1973 in Warwickshire, UK) now based in Newquay, Cornwall, paints primarily themes from the classical era in oils. Having spent these last ten years studying with the Open University he is approaching the end of a BA (Hons) in Painting and is presently involved in exhibiting at Exeter University’s Classics Department and the Truro Arts Centre.

 

He has shown previously at Buckinghamshire Open Studios, a series in impasto oils of various Venetian scenes. Then at the Grantham Guildhall Arts Centre, a portfolio of oil paintings detailing ancient culture.

 

In his present period of work Christian is exploring classical deities, his philosophy in painting is to portray the immutable within ourselves, and in by doing so attempting to connect with a concept beyond time itself.
